Lauren Dawson completed her training as Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) in 2016 from Wilmington University, DE with a specialty in family and is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She then graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP)in 2020. Over the course of her career, Lauren has worked in diverse practice settings. In her early nursing career, she worked as a registered nurse at a level 1 trauma emergency setting and also received her certification through the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) to perform chemotherapy infusions. She further went on and served as a Professor of Nursing for over 10 years with specialties in simulation, women’s health, obstetrics, and medical-surgical nursing. She received the New Nursing Educator of the Year Award in 2018 from the Organization of Associate Degree Nurses (OADN) and helped author “A Statewide Curriculum Model for Teaching Simulation Education Leaders” in 2019.
As a family nurse practitioner (FNP), Lauren has an appreciation for both traditional medicine and holistic modalities. She combines evidence-based practices with compassionate support while helping patients navigate their unique health journeys. Lauren delivers care to men, women, and adolescents with a focus on women’s gynecological care, weight loss, and hormone therapy and optimization. She believes in fostering strong patient relationships, prioritizes education and open communication to ensure each individual feels confident and informed in their care.
She became a BIOTE provider in 2024 after first being a patient for over a year with additional training from our platinum provider, Dr. J. Michael Knapp. This advanced training allows her to offer innovative hormone optimization solutions tailored to each patient’s unique needs. She is passionate about empowering individuals to regain their vitality and achieve optimal health through personalized care.
